Ollie Haycock is a London based guitarist, composer, producer and teacher.
He works mainly as a session guitarist across many genres such as Pop, Jazz, Soul, Neo-soul and Funk , whilst composing for originals jazz projects.
Ollie’s credits include bands and artists such as, Lola Young, Laura White, Donae’o, Natalie May, Hollie Stephenson, Courtney Bennett, DOJO, and The Kubricks.
He has performed and toured extensively across the UK and internationally playing venues such as the O2 Academy, KOKO Camden,Ronnie Scotts, Melkweg, Amsterdam and Way Out West, Gothenburg and has played numerous festivals including Glastonbury and WOMAD. In 2019 Ollie performed at the BBC Sports Personality of the Year Awards 2019.
He has wide recording experience and has live radio plays on Jo Whiley show and BBC radio London.
Ollie’s background is rooted in Jazz having studied Jazz guitar at Middlesex University under the tutelage of Rob Townsend, Nikki Iles, Chris Batchelor and Stuart Hall. He graduated in 2014 with First Degree honours.
Ollie teaches guitar and music theory privately from his home in North London. He teaches a whole range of genres and styles to a broad range of abilties and ages. He also teaches online via Zoom or Skype and has written online video courses and lessons.
